Cases of coronavirus in USA are rising fast. One of the scariest parts is how under-reported the actual infections are, with independent estimates based on reported Flu Like Illnesses (FLIs) and modeling, suggesting we may already be in the tens or even hundreds of thousands of people who are infected and mostly not yet symptomatic, but many of whom will become symptomatic, even critically so, over the course of the next one to three+ weeks (with the usual time frame from infection to COVID19 symptoms being 5 to 14 days).

While he didn’t come right out and say it, Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has repeatedly had to step up to microphones and say just about the exact opposite of what is coming out of Donald J. Trump’s mouth, went on several news programs and talk shows over the weekend in an attempt to get the facts out there about our coronavirus in USA through the fog of right wing propaganda and his own boss, Donald J. Trump.

“For a while, life is not going to be the way it used to be in the United States. We have to just accept that if we want to do what’s best for the American public.”

When asked if it is correct that hundreds of thousands of Americans could die from the disease, Mr Fauci agreed: “I say that, and it sometimes gets taken out of context, but we have to be realistic and honest. Yes, it is possible.”

Mr Fauci went on to add that it could even be worse than that: “Our job, our challenge is to try and make that not happen. But to think, if we go about our daily lives and not worry about everything, that it’s not going to happen, it could happen. And it could be worse.”

“I think Americans should be prepared that they are going to have to hunker down significantly more than we as a country are doing,” Dr. Fauci said to Chuck Todd on ‘Meet the Press.’
